16.3 Care and maintenance of the air tube

If you detect condensate accumulations within the air tube, then

please detach the air tube from the nebuliser after having finished

the inhalation therapy. The air tube must however remain

connected to the air compressor. Then switch on the air

compressor. Leave the compressor turned on until the air flow

has cleared all condensate accumulations. Exchange the air tube

every 6 months at least in order to prevent germ development!

In case of reprocessing the inhalation device for re-use (different

patients!), pollutions, discolourations or damage the air tube must

be exchanged. Risk of infection!

Store the air tube in a dry and dust-free environment and

protect it from direct sunlight!
