IX. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Clean the voice prosthesis at least 2 times daily with
the cleaning brush.
After use, remove the residual secretions from the
cleaning brush and/or the cleaning sponge with a
clean cloth.
In addition, carefully rinse the cleaning brush and/or
the cleaning sponge by swirling in a soap solution of
liquid soap for 15 seconds ➑.
Then rinse out with clear, almost sterile water.
Allow the cleaning brush to dry in the air.
Regular disinfection one time per day is recommen-
ded.
Especially in cases of potentially high risk of contami-
nation (after contact with the floor or with pets, close
proximity to patients with respiratory diseases or in-
fections, and in principle in a hospital environment,
where the risk of infection is high on the whole), the
cleaning brush should be disinfected before as well
as after each use.
A cleaning brush may be disinfected with the fo-
llowing substances: 70% ethanol for 10 minutes,
70% isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes, 3% hydrogen
peroxide for 60 minutes.
X. STORAGE/CARE
Store the dry cleaning brush hygienically in the as-
sociated case.
XI. SERVICE LIFE
We recommend replacing the cleaning brush one
time per week ➒.
XII. LEGAL NOTICES

tional deficiencies, injuries, infections, and/or other
complications or other adverse events caused by

voice prostheses are used beyond the period of
use specified under Section XI, and/or if it is used,
maintained (cleaned, disinfected) in non-compliance
with the instructions and specifications laid down in
these instructions for use, Andreas Fahl
Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH will, as far as legally
permissible, be free of any liability, including liability
for defects.
Should a serious adverse event occur in
connection with this product of Andreas Fahl -
Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH, this is to be re-
ported to the manufacturer and the competent
authority of the Member State in which the user and/
or patient are domiciled.
