FCC Regulations
Warning:
This equipment (the Imagesetter engine) generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may
cause interference to radio communications. It has been tested and found to comply with the
limits for a Class A computing device pursuant to Subpart B of Part 15 of
FCC
rules, which are
designed to provide reasonable protection when operated in a commercial environment.
Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause interference in which case the
user at his own expense will be required to correct the interference.

Testing Certification
This digital apparatus does not exceed the Class A limits for radio noise emissions from digital
apparatus set out in the Radio Interference Regulations of the Canadian Department of
Communications.

Laser Safety Information
The Imagesetter is certified as a Class 1 laser product under the US. Department of Health and
Human Services' Center for Devices and Radiological Health (
CDRH
) as defined in
21 CFR
chapter 1, sub-chapter J. This means that the imagesetter does not produce hazardous laser
radiation during normal operation and maintenance. Since the radiation inside the imagesetter
is completely confined within protective housings and safety interlocked covers, the laser beam
cannot escape from the machine during any phase of user operation.
WARNING! Use of controls and adjustments or performance other than those specified in this
manual may result is hazardous laser radiation exposure.
European Union -
This equipment (image setting engine) conforms to the following Directives as of the date of
manufacture noted on the Machine Identification Label:

73/23/EEC - Electrical Equipment Designed for Use Within Certain Voltage Limits
