The

prompt requires a password (administrator level or user level) followed by
a carriage return. The prompt is repeated if the correct password is not entered.
If the correct password is entered, the unit responds with

, depending on the password entered. If passwords are the same for both
administrator and user, the unit will default to administrator privileges.
Error Responses
When the SMP 351 is unable to execute the command, it returns an error response to the
host. The error response codes and their descriptions are as follows:

– Invalid port number

– Busy

– Invalid parameter (number is out of
range)

– Privilege violation

– Not valid for this configuration
