Overview of the QC 101
The QC 101 Controller is a dedicated controller for the Quantum processor. It features
an embedded operating system residing on a write-protected drive partition and the
Quantum Control Software preinstalled on the internal drive. When connected to a
Quantum and a control device such as an Extron IP Link Pro control processor, the
QC 101 can serve as an alternative to a traditional PC to create configurations and link the
Quantum processor to a control system via RS-232.
Two models are available: QC 101 E for Quantum Elite models and QC 101 C for the
Quantum Connect. The QC 101

Using the Quantum Control Software, you can create configurations on the QC 101 itself
or on a standard PC and migrate them to the QC 101. Connect a display, keyboard, and
mouse to the QC 101 for setup and configuration, then remove them after the system is
set up.
No driver or software installation is necessary, and the QC 101 automatically launches
the Quantum Control Software when powered up. Through Ethernet, the QC 101 can
be connected to a single Quantum Connect or Quantum Elite processor, or networked
with up to eight Quantum Elite units in a large videowall system. A standard RS-232 port
provides direct connection into a control system. The QC 101 Controller can be rack or
furniture mounted.
