Control Panel Buttons
The following buttons give you access to setup and other functions via the Control Panel:
•
Service Mode
— Enables you to access service mode, in which you can load image
files onto the processor hard drive or flash drive (see “Loading Image Files (Quantum
Elite Models Only,” below).
NOTES:
•
When you click this button, a password prompt appears. Enter
bostonxpe
(all lowercase letters), then click
OK
.
•
The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this device have been
set to the device serial number. In the event of an absolute system reset, the
passwords convert to the default, which is no password.
•
Network Settings
— Displays the Network Settings window, from which you can
view or change the IP address and other parameters of the rear panel Control port.
On the Quantum Elite models, you can also set network parameters for the Media I
and Media II ports, which are used for streaming QGE 100 sources.
•
Compact Flash
— Lets you write-protect the flash drive (Elite 615) or the hard drive
(Quantum Elite 408 and Quantum Connect). You can also save the network settings,
I/O card arrangement, and so on, to the Windows XP embedded configuration.
•
Default Setup
— Resets the processor to its factory default settings.
•
Install Software
— Enables you to update the Quantum firmware on your unit.
•
Shutdown
— Reboots or shuts down the Quantum system.
Loading Image Files (Quantum Elite Models Only)
You can upload image files from an external USB drive to the Quantum processor to be
displayed as sources on the screen and incorporated into presentations. The following
image file types are supported:
•
Bitmaps (.bmp)
•
JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) images (.jpg)
•
Graphics Interchange Format bitmaps (.gif)
•
Portable Network Graphics (.png)
To upload image files to the Quantum hard drive or flash drive:
1.
Connect the external USB drive containing the images to one of the rear panel USB
ports.
2.
On the Quantum Control Panel window, click
Service
Mode
.
3.
On the password prompt window that opens, enter
bostonxpe
, then click
OK
. The
Control
Panel
window is minimized and an RtxServer log window appears. Close or
minimize this window.

4.
Click the
Start
button in the lower-left corner of the screen. The System window
opens.

On the
System
window, click

Computer
