Important notes on the use of the
water boiler
DANGER! Risk of burn injuries
~
The water boiler is suitable and approved exclusively for use in the hair
steamer P71 steam appliance.
The water boiler is a wear part. In order to extend its service life and to ensure
optimal working with the appliance, we recommend using lime-free / deminer-
alised water.
Using tap water may result in the service life being reduced. One filling is suffi-
cient for a treatment time of approx. 1 hour.
The water boiler contains small ceramic parts. The ceramic parts significantly
slow down the accumulation of limescale. They must therefore not be removed
from the water boiler.
NOTE:
during the appliance’s heating phase, the ceramic parts produce a per-
ceptible rustling noise. This sound is not a fault with the appliance and does not
represent any sort of danger.
DANGER for children
~
Ceramic parts could be swallowed or inhaled by children:
-
Never remove ceramic parts from the water boiler.
-
Keep the water boiler away from children.
We recommend emptying any remaining water from the water boiler every day
at the end of work and then rinsing the water boiler with cold water.

Checking seals of water boiler
DANGER! Risk of burn injuries
~
Without the seals mounted, hot steam comes out of the appliance:
~
Before inserting the water boiler into the appliance, check the seals.
1. Check seals for cracks or damage.
•
In the event of dirt or damage, clean the seals and replace, if necessary.
2. Check that the seals fit securely:
-
The oval seal must sit in the groove with the broad side facing outwards.
-
The round seal must sit in the groove.
8.2
Filling the water boiler
If the water boiler is not regularly rinsed out, limescale residues will be visible as
white specks on the surface of the water. These specks have no impact on the
function of the appliance and are therefore harmless. We recommend rinsing
out the water boiler once per day with clear water.
