I/O Power Supply

The digital inputs and outputs are optically isolated from the other

power supplies. If it is desired to maintain this isolation, a separate power
supply must be used with an output within the range of 10 V to 30 V dc.

Two Power Supply Configuration

Two Power Supply Configuration, Maintaining I/O Isolation

Single Power Supply Configuration

For applications not requiring I/O isolation a single power supply can

be used; however, the supply must be a regulated to 30 V or less.

The single power supply configuration cannot be
used when bus power supply is greater than 30 V.
When a single power supply configuration is used for
bus power and I/O power a blocking diode must be

added to prevent the I/O voltage from rising above 30 V due to
regen energy.
