actuators there is no removable cover. The battery is mounted remotely
and wired through the power connector. The replacement battery only is
Exlar P/N 50748. Observe battery polarity when installing replacement
battery in clips.

Important:

If the battery is removed with both Motor and Logic power

also removed, leave all power

off

and do

not

reconnect the battery for

4 minutes

. Once all power is removed from the battery backed logic it

must be allowed enough time to completely bleed down before
restarting. Once power is re-applied the home position must be
reestablished. For the 60 mm actuator the Motor, Logic and battery
connections are all made through the power connector. This means any
time the power connector is removed from the actuator it should not be
reinstalled for 4 minutes.

Replacement battery assembly for 75 mm and 90 mm
actuators is Exlar PN 42712. Replacement battery for use
on remote battery assembly is Exlar P/N 50748.
Replacement with any other battery will violate UL

and CSA certification.

Travel limitations.

The counter has a range of +/- 4096 motor revolutions; therefore the

actuator must operate within this range and if the actuator is moved
beyond this limit a home position must be re-established.

Speed limitations: When power is off and the counter is under battery

backup, the maximum rpm the counter can track is 2100 rpm.

Ethernet Options, EIP, TCP or ProfiNet

The Ethernet Option provides an Ethernet rated M12 connector for

connection to the Network at the rear of the actuator.

An IP 67 4-pole M12 D coded connector is used, this type of connector

must only be used with two pair cables. When the Ethernet connection is
made via an Ethernet switch or hub, a straight though cable set must be
used. If there is a single node connection direct from the Ethernet
PC/PLC to the Tritex then a crossover cable may be required. Some PC
Ethernet cards have capability to detect a crossover connection. See
Expert Software section for setup of Tritex Ethernet parameters.
