6.8 - Enabled IPMI network access for Lights Out Management
Admins may now connect a 1GbE cable to the IPMI port running any OneBlox software version
2.9.4 and later. Having IPMI will enable lights out management and enables network access to
OneBlox, similar to connecting a keyboard and monitor to the rear of the OneBlox. Admins may
configure network setting with the exconsole as well as power up OneBlox from a complete
shutdown. When logging into the exconsole, either through IPMI web page or monitor/keyboard,
the default user name is
‘
admin
’
and password is
‘
config
’
. OneBlox running between 2.12 or 2.14
the user name is
‘
admin
’
and the password is
‘
admin
’
. If this is the first time logging in, admins will
be prompted to change the password.
The IPMI IP address is displayed when connecting monitor/keyboard to OneBlox and may be
changed through IPMI web page. Simply enter the IPMI IP address in a web browser and log in
with the following credentials. Note: the credentials are cASe sensitive.
IPMI account = Admin
password = EXAB70x!2134%
6.9 - How do I enable two-factor Verification for additional security?
1.
As an additional layer of security to a strong password, OneSystem admins have the option to
enable two-factor authentication and verification. When enabled, all OneSystem admins and
delegated admins will be required to enter the OneSystem password and a one-time password
when logging into OneSystem or performing any administrative task that may result in data loss
(e.g., deleting shares, resetting OneBlox to factory default).
After successfully enabling two-factor verification, the next time admins log into OneSystem,
'Trust this device' can be selected. In doing so, while the one-time password will be required for
certain administrative tasks in OneSystem, it will not be required for login.
