If a large amount of the smoke appears grey
or colourless it may be that one or more lamps
have failed�
You can check for lamp failure as follows�
1� Set the switch
(D)
on the control panel to the
position “On”

2� Carefully pull out the drawer�
3� Find out which lamp is defective and needs
to be replaced�
4� Set switch

on the control panel to posi-
tion “OFF”

and pull the mains plug of the
unit from the outlet�
5� Leave the appliance for 20 minutes to allow
the lamps to cool down before removing
them�
6� remove the water tank

by lifting upwards
and place in a sink�
7� remove sump
(H)
as explained in the “Clean-
ing” section�

remove the defective lamp, by gen-
tly lifting vertically and disengaging the
pins from the lamp holder� replace with a
dimplex Opti-myst, 12v, 50W, gu5�3 base,
8° beam angle, coloured lamp� (Ordering via
www�dimplex�co�uk at “After Sales Service”
or contact the service address relevant for
your country� details of how to purchase the
lamps are contained there�)
9� Carefully insert the two pins of the new lamp
into the two holes in the lamp holder� Push
firmly in place�
10� replace the Sump and water tank and care-
fully close the drawer�
11� Switch on�
