5.13 Maintenance performed by the operator
Maintenance is divided into two levels:
• Maintenance level 1
To be performed by trained operators who have received
appropriate instruction.
• Maintenance level 2
To be performed by Evoqua service personnel or by technical
personnel trained and authorized by Evoqua.
Liability for defects can only be accepted if maintenance work is
performed as specified.

• Are alarms pending?
• Visually inspect entire UV disinfection
unit for leaks
• Perform a visual inspection of the
bleed valve to ensure that it is func-
tioning correctly

Water should be dripping out of
the bleed hose at a steady rate
Monthly • Check the number of lamp operating
hours and replace the lamps if neces-
sary
• Test run of stand-by units. The lamps
must be on for a minium of 1 hour
Annually • Request service technician (Mainte-
nance level 2)
Every 2 years • Have the UV sensor calibrated at the
factory and replace if necessary
As required • Replacing lamps - Chapter 5.14
• Clean the surface of the disinfection
chamber with a suitable cleaning
agent (non corrosive!)
