Configuring RAID With M.2 SSDs
The EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED supports RAID0 and RAID1 spanned across the three
M.2 slots and SATA ports. For a more complete discussion about RAID and the
different types and positives/negatives of each type of RAID, skip to the next section of
the manual, which covers everything you need to know about RAID.
Install/Verify That Your SSDs Are Ready:
1.
To configure a RAID in the EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED, you will first need to
install your M.2 SSDs, as shown above on Page 30.

Next, enter the BIOS by tapping the DEL key after the POST beep.
3.
Enter the “Advanced” menu, and then the “Onboard Device Configuration”
menu. Make sure that your populated M.2 Key-M slots are enabled here.
4.
Hit ESC or click the back arrow to return to the Advanced menu. Click on the
NVMe Configuration Page to verify that your SSDs are detected and available.
5.
If you made any changes to the motherboard BIOS, exit back to the main
menu, go to the “Save & Exit” menu, and click “Save Changes and Reset”.
Enable the VMD Controller:
1.
Enter the BIOS and go into the Advanced menu. Enter the “SATA
Configuration” menu.
2.
Next, change the setting to enable the VMD controller. Save and Exit.
