4.2.2.
Reference Type
This option allows the user to set the reference type (
In Video
,
In Genlock, Genlock Frame 1, or
Genlock Frame 2
). The downstream keyer can be referenced by the input video or by the source
applied to the
GENLOCK
BNC.
Selecting Genlock Frame 1 or Genlock Frame 2 sets the frame genlock reference mode 1 or 2
respectively.
Frame genlock is where the genlock signal is connected to the 7800 frame and run through the
backplane to each board that is plugged in. It has the same function as the genlock input, but it
requires only one connector per frame rather than one per card. There are two connectors on the
7800 frame for a choice of two genlock inputs. Therefore, the user can choose either
In Video
(use
input video signal's frame sync),
In Genlock
(backplate),
Frame Genlock 1
or
Frame Genlock 2
.
4.2.3.
Horizontal Output Offset
This option allows the user to set the horizontal timing of the output video with respect to the genlock
reference input. Setting this control to 0 keeps the output video in time with the genlock reference.
Increasing the value will delay the output video in one-sample increments. In order to advance the
horizontal timing of the output video with respect to the genlock video, set the control to the maximum
number of samples per line for the output video standard minus the number of samples that you wish
to advance the output video. (i.e. for 1080i/59.94 output video the total number of samples per line is
2200, so to advance the output video 5 samples set the value to 2195.)
4.2.4.
Vertical Output Offset
This option allows the user to set the vertical timing of the output video with respect to the genlock
reference input. Setting this control to 0 keeps the output video in time with the genlock reference.
Increasing the value will delay the output video in one-line increments. In order to advance the vertical
timing of the output video with respect to the genlock video, set the control to the maximum number of
samples per line for the output video standard minus the number of samples that you wish to advance
the output video. (i.e. for 1080i/59.94 output video the total number of samples per line is 2200, so to
advance the output video 5 samples set the value to 2195.)
!
The H and V Phase Offset adjustment is a REAL TIME ADJUSTMENT and will
affect the output video timing immediately. These settings should not be
adjusted when the output video is in the broadcast chain.
4.2.5.
Video Mandatory Input
The
Video Mandatory Input
parameter enables the user to mute the output video.
