Section 1 Introduction and Specifications
Duty Cycle and Over Current Explanation
This unit has a 60% duty cycle rating at a maximum 350 Amp output for MIG and Stick processes. This means that the unit may
be operated continuously (or intermittently) for 6 minutes out of every 10 minutes before the unit overheats and shuts down. Duty
Cycle is rated as a percentage of time out of a 10 minute time period that a unit can operate. As Amperage is lowered, Duty Cycle
will increase. See specifications for more duty cycle information. If the unit monitors duty cycle with a heat sensor located inter-
nally on the heat prone areas of the machine. If the temperature sensors indicates the temperature has risen too high, it will signal
the welder to cease output. Wire feeding may continue

however if duty cycle terminates welding output. The duty cycle
light will be lit and remain on until the unit has cooled back down. If a duty cycle event has occurred, allow the unit to sit and run
for 15 minutes without attempting to weld. Do not switch the unit off during this time. If the unit has not reset after 15 minutes,
manually cycle the unit off and back on. If the unit does not reset and resume welding output, contact Everlast.
The unit is protected from Over
-
Currents which may cause excessive input or power draw on the machine. This can occur from
undersized conductors, too long of extension cords, or poor power supply (running on a generator not certified for clean power, or
an under sized one). Or it can be caused by an internal fault. If an Over
-
Current occurs, the machine with terminate output and
the LED will be lit. If this happens, immediately shut down the machine, and find the source of the fault. If no fault can be found,
turn the unit back on. If the fault does not clear, contact Everlast. If the fault reoccurs soon after, shut down the machine and con-
tact Everlast. Do not attempt to continually

Currents. This can further damage the machine.
Generator Operation
Due to the size and class of this machine, a generator is not recommended. However, if a generator is required for this unit, for
240V single phase use, use a clean power generator only. A clean power generator is considered to produce a

sine wave,
which is 5% or less of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). If using with a generator, use with a generator rated for a minimum clean
power output, capable of producing 16,500 watts. Use with generators that are undersized or not rated by the generator manufac-
turer as clean power (5% or less THD) will damage the machine and will void the warranty.
