The rectifier converts the mains AC into DC. The direct current bus is the main
source of power for the inverter, which, in turn, generates sine alternating current that
powers the connected receivers.
The automatic bypass circuit enhances the entire system's safety. If the inverter's
permissible parameters are exceeded, the receivers are powered directly from the
mains. This way, the automatic bypass circuit acts as an additional, passive
protection. Activating the bypass manually allows to switch the load to the mains
entirely. This allows to supply power to the receivers from the mains bypassing the
UPS unit's internal functional blocks.
The back-up time depends on the power of the connected receivers and the type and
number of the used batteries. Please remember that batteries with the same rated
capacity, but made by different manufacturers, may provide different back-up times
for the same receiver.
