To begin automa ti ng some parameters:
Follow the instruc ti ons in Sec ti on 6.2.4.8.1 MIDI and Controller Mapping to assign some H9000
parameters to a func ti on.
In your DAW, write some automa ti on data to the lane corresponding to that speci fi c H9000
func ti on.
Note that while four FX chains are always exposed in the DAW, there may not actually be four chains
running on your H9000. In this case, automa
ti ng any unused ones won’t have any e ff ect.
If you replace an FX chain within the H9000, the DAW automa ti on data will s ti ll exist, and will apply to
whatever parameters are assigned to the Func ti on in the newly created FX chain.
6.2.5.2. DAW State Recall
When Emote is present as a plug-in in your DAW project, your DAW will automa ti cally save the current
state of all of the H9000’s se tti ngs within Emote. This includes se tti ngs for Sessions, FX Chains,
Algorithms, Presets, and Scenes.
When you re-open the DAW project and connect to Emote, a pop-up message will display “This DAW
project holds state data for 9K-XXXXX. Would you like to restore it?”
Select YES to restore your H9000’s se tti ngs for this DAW project. You will be prompted to save
your current H9000 session before the H9000’s state data from the DAW project is loaded.
Select
NO to keep your current H9000 session. If you later decide you’d like to restore the
H9000’s DAW state data, reload the DAW project without saving.

Warning
While the DAW State Recall is a useful feature for saving your H9000 data, it is best prac ti ce to also
save an H9000 session with all of your se tti ngs.
6.2.5.3. DAW Tempo Sync
The H9000 can automa ti cally sync its tempo to your DAW project when Emote is used as a plug-in. To
do this, please refer to Tempo (Sec ti on 4.1.5) and set Tempo Mode to “DAW.”
