Child’s head
MUST
be at least 1 inch
(25mm) below the
top of the carrier.
2
Harness straps
MUST
start as close as
possible, but never
above, the child’s
shoulders.
3
The harness
MUST
be on the child’s shoulders and snug
with no more than two finger-widths of space between
the child and the harness strap.
4
Chest clip is securely fastened and at armpit level.
5
Buckle tongues are fully engaged.
6
Back and bottom of baby should rest flat against the
seat shell.
7
Crotch strap fits easily between baby’s legs.
Align the two sides of the
chest clip
A
and snap them
together. The chest clip must
be positioned at armpit level.
The harness straps must be
snug against the child. A
snug strap should not allow
any slack. It lies in a relatively
straight line without sagging.
It does not press on the child’s
flesh or push the child’s body
into an unnatural position.
Check the harness straps near
the shoulders for slack and
adjust as needed.
Slide each harness strap over
the child’s shoulders.
Insert the buckle tongues into
the buckle. Pull up on the
harness strap to ensure the
buckle tongues are engaged.
