Carrier is locked firmly into the base.

Carrier and base always face toward the rear of the 

vehicle.

Handle is locked in the “car” or “stand” position.

Level indicator is completely within the “green.”

Locking clip is installed with lap and shoulder belts if 

required.

Make sure the vehicle seat belt is routed through the 

belt path, or when using the LATCH harness, that it is 

routed through the belt path.

Child restraint can not move more than 1 inch (25 mm) 

from side-to-side at the belt path.

Any excess LATCH harness strap routed through the  

harness openings in the base.

side of the storage area beneath the base.

A loose LATCH harness and hook may injure your child.
