FILLING WITH WATER
- Ensure that the iron is disconnected from the power supply before filling.
- Keep the iron horizontal and rest it on its rest support (10). Fill the boiler using the measure (12) and its funnel (11) pro-
vided (Fig. B).
- Ensure that the amount of water never exceeds 210 ml which is the exact amount indicated on the measure.
- If there is too much liquid in the iron boiler, water will leak and/or spurt from the steam outlet holes when you begin ironing.
- Do not fill the boiler tank with chemical additives or other perfuming or decalcification agents.
- Empty the boiler after use. Rinse with water and empty the boiler again. Store the appliance with the safety cap (1) open.
- It is recommended that you leave the safety cap (1) open and heat the appliance so that the remaining water evaporates.
BEFORE IRONING
The safety cap (1) must be screwed onto the boiler tightly. This however does not mean tightening it too much. As soon as
the cap reaches its end of travel, apply just light pressure to make sure it is closed. Forcing the closing of the cap by tighten-
ing it too much may cause the seal to break, which may cause steam to escape from it.
HOW TO START THE APPLIANCE
- Insert the plug into the outlet. Turn on the iron. Press switch (7) to “ I ” (Fig. C).
- When the warning light (5) goes on, the iron is heating up.
- Wait 4-5 minutes until the indicator light turns off.
- Now you may start to iron.
STEAM OUTFLOW
You can use the shot of steam or continuous steam for steam ironing.
- To deliver shots of steam, just press the steam button (4) Fig. D with more or less pressure, depending on the intensity of
steam you want to deliver.
- Turn the steam control knob (2) in a clockwise direction (Fig. E) to obtain a constant and continuous steam outflow. In this
way you get a constant and continuous flow of steam up to maximum intensity with complete rotation. You can get a greater
intensity of steam also during continuous delivery by pressing the steam button (4) all the way down.
- Continuous steam supply is advised against: the boiler empties very quickly and it will not be possible to ensure a good
intensity of steam delivery.
- Pay attention to never turning the iron upside-down and to not tilting it too far forward or sideways both when delivering
shots of steam and continuous steam.
Warning!
Always stop the steam outflow before resting the iron on the separate stand (10).
Never unscrew the safety cap (1) during use. Turn off the appliance before opening the safety cap. unplug it from
the electric outlet. Press the button (4) all the way down to eliminate the steam remaining in the boiler.
HOW TO FILL THE BOILER WHILE THE IRON IS BEING USED
If you need to fill the boiler during the ironing session, the following operations should be carried out:
- Turn off the iron. Press switch (7) Fig. C to position “ O ”.
- unplug it from the electric outlet.
- Discharge the internal steam pressure by pressing the steam button all the way down (4).
- Unscrew the boiler’s safety cap (1). For this purpose you can use the specially provided cap unscrewer accessory (3) that
aids gripping the cap and protects against accidental burns.
- Turn the iron upside-down to empty out all of the water still inside the boiler (Fig. F).
Warning!
Danger of burns. The remaining water in the boiler is very hot.
- Remember that the amount of water to put inside the iron during use must never exceed the 210 ml indicated on the
measure.
- Screw the safety cap on tightly.
- Insert the plug into the outlet. Turn on the iron. Press switch (7) to “ I ” (Fig C).
- The steam will be ready shortly.
