During summer time „DST“ is displayed (DST = „Daylight Saving Time“ = Summer Time).

During normal operation, the wall clock attempts to receive a signal at 3:00 a.m. since there is 
much less interference at this time (better reception possible). Further reception attempts follow 
at 04:00, 05:00 and 06:00 hours.

During the day, you can start a reception attempt yourself; see section “Start DCF radio recep-
tion”.



The recognition and interpretation of the DCF signal can take 3-5 minutes. Meanwhile, do 
not move the wall clock. Do not use any buttons.

If there still is no current time/date shown in the display after 10-20 minutes, change the wall 
clock’s installation location. Start a new reception search. Press and hold the button “°C/°F” (B7), 
until the radio tower symbol starts blinking in the display.



The time and the date can also be set manually, e.g. if there is no DCF signal available, 
e.g. on vacation.

SETTING THE TIME MANUALLY

-

   Press and hold the button „MODE/SET“ (B4) (approx. 3 seconds) until the 

hours

 start blinking 

in the display.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“  (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the hours. For quick adjustment, 

hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

-

  The minutes start to blink.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“ (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

minutes

. For quick adjust-

ment, hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

-

  The seconds start to blink.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“  (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can reset the 

seconds

 to “00”.

-

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

-

  The year starts blinking.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“  (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

year

. For quick adjustment, 

hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

-

  The month starts blinking.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“  (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

month

. For quick adjust-

ment, hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

-

  The date starts blinking.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“ (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

day

. For quick adjustment, 

hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

   Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button „MODE/SET“ (B4).

-

   The hour now blinks in the display for setting the time zone (+12/-12 are possible).

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“ (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the desired time zone.

-

   Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button „MODE/SET“ (B4); the manual setting is 

now completed.



The time zone setting only needs to be adjusted if the time zone differs from the German 
time zone. Otherwise, leave the time zone as 0.

STARTING DCF RADIO RECEPTION

Start a manual reception attempt, by pressing the “°C/°F” button (B7) until the radio tower symbol 
in the display starts blinking. A successful DCF reception overwrites the manually set time/date.

TOGGLING BETWEEN °C/°F

Briefl y press the button “°C/°F” (B7), to toggle between the two temperature units (Celsius and 
Fahrenheit).

TOGGLING BETWEEN THE 12H /24H MODES

To switch between the 12h and 24 h mode, briefl y press the “12/24” button (B5). The 12h display is 
indicated by “AM” preceding the time during the fi rst half of day and “PM” during the second half.

ALARM FUNCTION 

a) Setting the alarm

-

   Briefl y press the button „MODE/SET“ (B4), which switches the display from the current time to 

the alarm time.

-

   When the alarm time is shown in the display („AL“ to the right of the display), keep pressing 

the button „MODE/SET“ (B4) until the hours for the alarm time start blinking.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“ (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

hours

. For quick adjustment, 

hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

   Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button „MODE/SET“ (B4).

-

   The minutes for the alarm time start blinking.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“ (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

minutes

. For quick adjust-

ment, hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

   Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button „MODE/SET“ (B4); the setting for the alarm 

time is now completed.

-

   Wait a few seconds, and the wall clock returns to displaying the time of day (or briefl y press the 

button „MODE/SET“ (B4)).

b) Turning the alarm function on/off

Briefl y press the “AL ON/OFF” button (B8). A bell symbol appears in the upper right of the display, 
if the alarm function is activated.

c) Stopping the alarm signal

 

When the alarm goes off, press any button to switch off the alarm tone.

CALENDAR OVERVIEW

-

   Press the buttons „

“ (B3) (B3) to display the following and the previous months in 

the calendar overview (A2) respectively.

   Press the button „HOME“ (B1), to return to the current calendar overview (A2).

APPOINTMENT REMINDER 

Up to eight appointments can be saved. 

The day for the appointment is indicated by a blinking frame in the calendar overview (A2).

Programming

-

  Press the button MODE/SET (B4) twice, until the display shows “EVENT”.

-

   Keep the MODE/SET button (B4) pressed, until the number display blinks behind EVENT (ap-

prox. 3 seconds).

-

  Set the number display (EVENT 1-8), using the b12/24 (B5) and -°C/°F (B7).

-

  Press the button MODE/SET (B4) again. The month display blinks.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“  (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the  

month

. For quick adjust-

ment, hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

-

  The date starts blinking.

-

   Using the buttons „+ 12/24“ (B5) or „- °C/°F“ (B7) you can set the 

day

. For quick adjustment, 

hold the corresponding button for a while longer.

-

 Confi rm the setting, by briefl y pressing the button “MODE/SET” (B4).

In this way, you can save up to 8 different appointments during the whole year.

Display

-

   Press the button MODE/SET (B4) twice, until the display shows „EVENT“, to see a saved ap-

pointment.

-

   Using the b12/24 (B5) and -°C/°F (B7) you can now „browse“ through the saved ap-

pointments.

-

   If an appointment has been saved for the current month, this day is marked by a blinking frame 

in the calendar overview (A2).

-

  If an appointment has been saved for the current day, the EVENT indication blinks in the display.

RESETTING THE FUNCTIONS (RESET)

If the jumbo wall clock or the buttons ceases to display a function, there is the option of pressing 
the “reset button” (B6) with a sharp object (e.g. a nail). Carefully push the sharp object into the 
reset opening. All the wall clock’s set functions are thereby reset. Begin the setting procedure 
again, as described above.

INSTALLATION OR SETUP OF THE WALL CLOCK

The wall clock is equipped with a retractable foot on the back (C3) for placing it on a table. Only 
place the product on a level, stable and suffi ciently large surface.

It is also possible to mount it on a wall. Three notches on the back of the display unit (C1) are used 
for safe hanging, e.g. on screws or nails. 



When placing the clock on a table, it may be necessary to use an appropriate underlay, 
since dints or scratch marks are could occur on valuable furniture.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Apart from replacing the battery, the device requires no maintenance. Only clean the exterior of 
the device with a soft, dry cloth or a small brush.

Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as they could damage the surface of 
the case.

Do not press on the sensitive display surface. 

DISPOSAL

tions.

 As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/recharge-
able batteries. Disposal in the domestic waste is prohibited! 

  

Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the fol-
lowing symbols. You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of 
charge to the offi cial collection points in your municipality, in our stores, or anywhere 
where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold!
