Winding mechanism: Your Eterna KonTiki Date has
a mechanical movement with an automatic winding
mechanism. A rotor supplies energy to the main spring
in response to the very slightest of wrist movements
and winds the watch up. When fully wound up, the
Eterna KonTiki Date’s power reserve is about 38 hours.
For that reason there is no need to wind up the watch
manually as long as it is worn regularly.
But you can also wind up your watch by hand if it is not
used for an extended period of time. To do so, unscrew
the screw-down crown

by turning it anticlockwise

. Turn it a
few times clockwise. A protective mechanism ensures
that the main spring cannot be over-tightened. Screw
the crown back in by pressing it slightly against the case
and turning it clockwise.
