You can adjust the coffee spout to different cup sizes as per Fig. 5. When you have a small
espresso cup, move the spout downwards. For bigger cups, move the spout upwards. If
your glass is too tall, move the spout upwards and remove the drip tray

The steam nozzle
A3
is designed for making espresso beverages containing milk and milk
froth. For superior taste and quality of the beverage, use chilled fresh whole milk only.
Recommended procedure
a) Fill a container with milk. The container must be sufficiently large as the milk quantity will
increase three times as much.
b) Firstly, make coffee following the usual procedure (see section
C
above) as the use of
the steam nozzle will increase the temperature in the internal system, which could burn
the ground coffee if you proceeded in reverse order.
c) Activate the steam nozzle by pressing the button
B5
.
While the nozzle is being
heated up, the indicator light
A6
is flashing. As soon as the nozzle is ready, the indicator
light
A6
will remain steadily on. While the nozzle is being heated up, a small quantity of
water might run out of it/splash out.
d) You can now place the container with milk under the milk frother (Fig. 6) so that the
nozzle opening slightly touches the milk surface (or is slightly under the surface),
activate steam with the button
B5
and turning it slowly anticlockwise, allow the steam
to stream into the milk. Switch off the steam nozzle by pressing the button
B5
, or
else it will switch off automatically after 90 seconds.
e) Pour the frothed milk carefully over the coffee based on the espresso beverage you
have selected; you can use a teaspoon to do so.
f) Make sure to clean the milk frother immediately after use (components

MAINTENANCE
(for basic fast cleaning we recommend that you activate the
steam nozzle again for a short time). Milk-caked frother is harder to clean.
Recommendation
– For optimum micro-froth production, we recommend that you use a special milk pot
intended for that purpose.
– Another way to make micro-froth (but not larger dense froth) is to tilt the container at
a slight angle, not move it and allow the steam to stream into the container, creating an
eddy.
IV. MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the fork of the power cord out
of the socket (except for operations which require the coffee machine to remain
switched on)! Clean the appliance only when it is cooled down! Do not use rough
and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents or other
solvents)!

IMPORTANT: To prevent formation of mould on coffee residues, regularly check and
clean all the components, including the brewing unit and the surrounding areas!
