Visual indications (flashing lights), audible (beeps and sirens) and vocal (voice) announcements
generated by system alarms and statuses.
Within the premises, the CP can communicate with up to 64 wireless peripherals. Alarms triggered by these
peripherals, as well as status reports, are sent from the CP to the Monitoring Station according to the status of
the peripheral.
Certain environmental occurrences may trigger the alarms:
n
Fire alarm
- triggered by the smoke detector
n
Extreme temperature alarm
– triggered by any of the peripherals
n
Open door or window alarm
– triggered by the magnetic sensor
1.2.
Monitoring Activities
Monitoring activity within the premises is possible by applying specific features:
n
Activity Timer
Up to two (2) programmable activity-detection periods may be set for the Control Panel (CP) by the
monitoring station.
The detection-periods monitor activity within specific time slots during the day. This feature may be
enabled or disabled by the user.
When enabled; a blue LED ring lights up around the
EMERGENCY
button. If this function is disabled,
the blue LED ring remains off.
Fifteen (15) minutes prior to the end of the session, the CP beeps and displays a blinking blue LED
ring. To stop this warning and reset the activity timer, press the
RESET
button on the CP.
If during an activity period, you press the
EMERGENCY
button on the CP or on one of the
EMERGENCY
button peripherals, it generates an alarm.
This action also resets the activity timer. But you should not use it for this purpose. Instead, use the
RESET
button on the CP.
If no activity was detected during the session, the CP initiates an Inactivity Alarm, which is reported to
the Monitoring Station.
n
Inactivity Timer
If no activity from the CP or any of the peripherals is detected within a pre-programmed period, the
CP generates an Inactivity Alarm, which is reported to the monitoring station.
