The Control Panel cannot report an Emergency Alarm during a phone call

3.5.
Trouble Conditions
Trouble conditions are related to technical problems with the Control Panel (CP) or with one or more of the
peripheral devices. All trouble statuses may be accompanied by vocal announcements. The announcements
can be disabled (mute mode) by local or remote programming.
Trouble conditions are:
n
A peripheral's battery is low. The CP Trouble Indicator lights steadily and the Control Panel beeps
once every hour.
n
A peripheral has been tampered with. The CP Trouble Indicator lights steadily and the Control Panel
beeps once every hour.
n
The CP’s battery requires replacement. The CP Trouble Indicator lights steadily and the Control Panel
beeps once every hour.
n
Supervision of a peripheral is lost. The CP Trouble Indicator blinks and the Control Panel beeps once
every hour.
The Control Panel sends event reports to the Monitoring Station regarding trouble statuses.
All trouble beeps can be cleared by pressing the
RESET
button.
Trouble Indicators are cleared automatically when the trouble condition is eliminated.
3.6.
Programming Parameters
For the UL Listing, the following features must be programmed as specified below:
n
Mains Failure/Message Delay should not exceed 180 seconds.
n
Random/Range Limit should be set to 0.
n
Sound/Internal Siren Duration should be set to at least 240 seconds.
n
Periodic test should not exceed 24 hours.
n
Dialer Alert and Supervisory signals should be set for between 5 and 10 retry attempts.
n
Retry timeout should be set to between 3 and 7 seconds.
n
Speakerphone operation should be disabled.
