FAX
Europa GSM is provided with a FAX recognition service, which allows the
automatic recognition of an incoming FAX.
Note: FAXES can be received and sent only over the analogue line.
Setting the FAX extension
This paragraph describes how to programme the FAX extension.
Analogue line devoted uniquely to FAX reception
- Enable FAX extension to ring upon incoming calls over the analogue line (see
“Programm incoming calls”).
- All the other extensions, on the other hand, must not be enabled to ring over the
same line.
Analogue line devoted to receiving all kinds of calls, using FAX recognition
Note: the following settings are automatically set in case of Office
22 default configuration.
- Define FAX extension (see “Programming FAX extension”).
- Enable FAX recognition (see “Enabling FAX recognition”).
- Disable FAX extension to ring upon incoming calls over the analogue line
(see “Programming incoming calls”, enter the call pick up option).
In this case, all the FAXES received are automatically diverted to the FAX
extension.
Note: in the event a doorphone board is provided, predispose the
FAX extension with doorphone ringer disabled (see
“Doorphone calls”, enter access type 0 or 1).
Programming FAX extension
Allows determining the extension to which the FAXES recognised by the FAX
recognition will be diverted.
DEFAULT : 46.
