Control Panel

The following operating and display instruments are located in 

the control panel:
1.  Multi-function 

display

- Deep discharge monitoring

2.  Speed 

potentiometer     

 

- Continuously variable speed regulation of the    

 

  electric motor.

3.  BOOST-push 

button     

 

- Accelerates the low preselected engine speed to full  

 

  speed for a short time.

4.  Key 

switch 

      

 

Turns the unit on (EIN) and off (AUS).

Multifunction Display

This display is directly connected to the motor controller and 

indicates current operating situations and possible errors. 

The two lower buttons are not assigned in this configu-

ration, and no changes can be made with them either! 

The control lamp 

j

 lights up yellow during trouble-free operation. 

If a fault occurs, it lights RED.
A red light up during starting does not represent a fault but is part 

of the “self-test”.

When the ES-648E is switched on, the ERCO logo appears in 

the display.

The battery capacity is indicated in the upper area with bars, and 

in the lower area in percent.

Attention!

This capacity display only determines the exact state of charge of 

the battery after some time, especially after replacing the battery, 

this display only adjusts after approx. 20-30 Min!
At the end of the battery capacity (10%) the electronics switches 

to a safety mode, whereby the device only reaches a speed of 

approx. 800 rpm!
Connect the device to a charger as quickly as possible!
