Chapter 3 Advanced Product Use

Initializing Interface Settings

The following procedure allows you to restore the interface settings to their factory defaults.

Make sure the printer is turned off and the roll paper cover is closed.

Remove the connector cover if it is attached.

For information on how to remove the connector cover, see

“Attaching the Connector Cover” on

page 45

While holding down the status sheet button, turn on the product.

A message saying starting the initialization is printed and the product restarts.

Scanning Demonstration (network mode only)

Enter the IP address of the product followed by /demo in your web browser to launch Scan Demo.

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/demo

Only the network settings are initialized.

Keep pressing the status sheet button until the initialization start message is printed.
