4.2.18.1 PF Scale installation
This section describes the installation procedures for the following parts:

PF Scale (Loop Scale)
T
Scale Mounting Plate
T
D50 Tape (double adhesive tape)
1. Prepare the mounting plate scale tool (AS-Tool No.1051765).
2. On the mounting plate scale tool, set the Scale Mounting Plate so that the double
adhesive tape side is positioned up.
3. Peel the protective backing off the double adhesive tape on the Scale Mounting
Plate.

After installing the Paper Guide Front on the Main Frame, make
certain that the hook and projections at the right side of the
Paper Guide Front are fixed at the correct positions. If they are
not fixed at the correct positions, paper jam can be caused.

Install the PF Scale on the PF Roller Gear by referring to
4.2.18.1 “PF Scale installation”.

Once the PF Roller has been removed or when it has been
replaced with a new one, be sure to apply an appropriate amount
of grease G-26 to the specified points. Refer to
• Figure 6-14. “Lubrication point 13” in Chapter 6.
• Figure 6-15. “Lubrication point 14” in Chapter 6.
