C Clock

The I

2

C module uses the internal clock output from the 16-bit timer Ch.2 as the synchronous clock. This clock 

drives the shift register and is output from the SCL pin to the slave I

2

C device.

Program the 16-bit timer Ch.2 so that it will output a clock according to the transfer rate. Refer to Chapter 11, “16-bit 
Timers (T16),” for controlling the 16-bit timer.

The I

2

C module does not function as a slave device. The SCL input is used to check the SCL status of the I

2

C bus 

but it is not used to input synchronous clock.
