Changing ordeleting a keyboard password
If your keyboard password is the same as your power-on
password, follow the steps in the section above to change or
delete it. Then reboot your system.
If your keyboard password is different from your power-on
password, you can make both passwords the same by turning
off or resetting your computer.
To temporarily change your keyboard password to something
other than your power-on password, follow these steps:
1. To start the EISA Configuration utility, insert the System
Configuration diskette in drive A.
2. Log onto drive A and type

at the next two
screens to bring up the Main Menu.

4 . S e l e c t P a s s w o r d U t i l i t y .
5. Then select Set Keyboard Password. You see a message
telling you that a keyboard password already exists. Press
Enter.
6. The computer locks the keyboard and you see a prompt to
enter your password. Type your power-on password and
press
Enter.
7. You see a prompt to enter your new keyboard password
Type a new password and press
Enter.
8. At the next prompt, enter the password again. You see the
Password Utility Menu. Follow the instructions on the
screen to exit the EISA Configuration utility.
