4.3.2. Paper 

Feed Motor Backlash Adjustment

This adjustment is required when either the paper feed motor is replaced or when its mounting position

is shifted.

Step 1:

Step 4:

Remove the printer mechanism. (Refer to Section 4.2.5.1.)

Loosen the two screws 

 X 8) securing the paper feed motor.

Manually rotate the paper feed motor, and adjust the backlash between the pinion and the

paper feed reduction gear.

Allowable backlash: 0.05mm to 0.1 mm

Tighten the screws 

 on the paper feed motor.
