Connect the supply line to the screw connectors and close the cover so that its lens is in the correct posi-
tion. Install the housing with the supply line and temperature sensor pointing downwards; see the figure.
After the thermometer has been installed, connect it to the network as instructed; see ”Connecting devi-
ces to a network” . The red indicator is on when the thermometer is connected to a network and operates
normally. If the thermometer is not connected to a network, the indicator flashes yellow.
If you wish to remove the thermometer from the network, switch the power off, connect the pins with a
jumper and switch the power on for approx. 10 seconds. When the yellow indicator is on, this means that
the thermometer has been removed from the network. Switch the power off, remove the jumper and
switch the power back on. The thermometer is now ready to be connected to a new network.
Connecting the Devices to a Network
Switch the power on in the system devices. When the PWR indicator of the ECO603 and the ECO602.2 are
lit, the devices are on. The Link indicator of the ECO603 shows that a wireless network is available.
When all the devices of the eSmart system have started, press the button of ECO603. The Link indica-
tor flashes while connecting to the network. Searching for devices and connecting them to the network
occurs automatically. When the indicator stops flashing, this means that the search is complete. If the
ECO691 has no connection with the ECO603 (outside temperature shows lines and the symbol of signal
strength ), press the button of ECO603 again.
Approximately 15 seconds after connecting to the network, the ECO691 display shows the current energy
consumption reading (kW) and the outdoor temperature (°C). The indoor temperature reading is shown
immediately after start-up.
Re-Connecting/Removing from the Network
If one of the network devices has previously been connected to another network, it must be reset before
it can be connected to a new network. To reset the ECO603 (control device) and the ECO602.2 (measuring
device), keep the ECO603 button pressed for approx. 10 seconds. The network has been reset when
the Link indicator goes off. The ECO691 (operating panel) is reset by selecting
Settings/Reset radio link
.
The ECO607 (outdoor thermometer) is reset with a jumper. Perform a device search after resetting.
Software Update
The ECO603 software update is performed using a memory card. First, switch off the device. Insert the
memory card and switch on the device. The software update takes a few minutes, during which the Link
indicator flashes. When the Link indicator remains on and the PWR indicator flashes, the software has been
updated. If the RF indicator flashes, this means that the software update failed. The reason may be a cor-
rupted memory card or software file. The PWR indicator remains switched off during the software update.
Switch off ECO603, remove the memory card and switch on the device.
ECO602.2 software updates are performed using a memory card. First, switch off the device. Insert the me-
mory card and switch on the device. The software update takes a few minutes, during which the STATUS
indicator flashes. When the STATUS indicator remains on, the software has been updated. If the STATUS
indicator remains on and the PWR indicator flashes, this means that the software update failed. The reason
may be a corrupted memory card or software file. The PWR indicator will be off during the software upda-
te. Switch off ECO602.2, remove the memory card and switch on the device.
To update the ECO691 software, replace the SD card; see page 43. History information is not updated
when the card is changed!
