Manual controls
Activate or deactivate the manually controlled relays. Manual control can
be used to control certain equipment independently of the mode of the
premises e.g. to turn the outdoor lighting on when a car arrives. Controls
that are unavailable for manual control are greyed out. When the device is
in manual control mode, it does not react to mode changes or alarms.
Temperature control
When certain equipment needs to operate according to the outside tempe-
rature, temperature limits can be specified for this purpose. For example, a
heat pump can be turned off when the temperature drops below a speci-
fied limit.
Check with the equipment manufacturer that the equipment will
return to normal operation after the shut-down.
Temperature alarms
A temperature alarm is triggered when the measured temperature drops
below the specified limit. Set the desired temperature alarm limit value bet-
ween -30 – +50 °C in
Away
and
Away long
modes.
SMART -setback
The SMART -setback function can be used to control the temperature set-
back function of Ensto ECO16FR thermostats. In this case, the temperature
setback is enabled by selecting the
Away long
mode. The default SMART
-setback value is 5°C. This value can be changed using the
Control/Other
controls/SMART -setback.
Info
Use the Info menu to review the consumption of electricity, district heating
energy and water, and outside temperature information. If the district hea-
ting energy or water button is greyed out, the function is not available or
measuring data has not been accumulated during the last seven days. The
button will become operational and be displayed in green when measuring
data has again been accumulated.
Monitoring the Consumption of Electricity, District Heating Energy,
Water, and Temperature
In graphical form, the screen displays either the consumption of electricity
(kW), district heating energy (kW/MW), water (l/m3) or outside temperature
data (°C) during the past hour. To review the data on daily, weekly, month-
ly and annual level, use the arrow buttons to move to the desired review
period.
The horizontal axis shows the time of the review period as the time on dai-
ly level, weekdays on weekly level, days on monthly level, and months on
annual level. The vertical axis displays consumption for the review period.
When consumption is sufficiently high, the device will convert kilowatts to
megawatts and litres into cubic meters.
Settings
Use the Settings menu to change the settings of the ECO691. If the changes
are not saved, the ECO691 will have no connection to the ECO603.
