Description of the File Fields
The consumption data is saved in the file, with one row for each consumption reading. This reading con-
sists of seven fields:

Field 1 = Date and time
Field 2 = Current transformer 1, cumulative Wh reading
Field 3 = Current transformer 2, cumulative Wh reading
Field 4 = Current transformer 3, cumulative Wh reading
Field 5 = Water meter, cumulative pulse reading
Field 6 = District heating meter, cumulative pulse reading
Field 7 = NOT USED
To acquire the consumption reading, calculate the difference between the old and new cumulative rea-
dings. Using the example, you can calculate the energy used by the current transformer 1 during one
minute: 396456 – 396444 = 12Wh. You can obtain the total energy by first calculating the differences of
all three current transformers and then adding them together. In this way, it is easy to create various con-
sumption curves for a desired period, using a spreadsheet for example.
The outside temperature information is saved in the file every minute. This reading consists of three fields:
1
2
3
2011.12.15 12:27:00
219
1702
Field 1 = Date and time
Field 2 = Temperature * 10, e.g. 219 = 21.9°C
Field 3 = Light level in lux (lx)
Ensto eSmart Installation Instructions
The equipment may only be installed by a qualified person. Disconnect the supply voltage before instal-
lation and servicing. These instructions must be stored in a safe location and must be available for future
installation and servicing. NOTE: When installing the device, the safety distances according to the SELV
and PELV circuit requirements must be taken into consideration.
Installing the ECO603 and the Power Supply
The ECO603 is the control device of Ensto eSmart. The device is designed for installation, together with the
ECO602.2 measuring device and the power supply, onto a DIN rail in an electricity distribution board, or in
an enclosed space near the board, in such a way that a user cannot touch the connectors and screw heads.
The ECO603 control device front panel has four LED indicators.
In normal situation the RF indicator always blinks when the
control device receives a data packet. The green Link indicator
indicates that a wireless network is available, the GSM indica-
tor indicates the status of the GSM unit. This indicator blinks
regularly, around every three seconds, when the GSM connec-
tion is available. The PWR indicator indicates that the device is
connected to a power source.
