Configuring the Encoder’s Audio Bit Rate
Select a bit rate that is compatible with your network bandwidth
considerations and that does not exceed the bit rate of your audio
source.
1. From the High Res Encoder or Low Res Encoder menu, as
applicable, press the down arrow button to highlight the Audio
Bit Rate submenu.
2. Press the right arrow button (or OK) to go to the Audio Bit Rate
selection menu.
3. Use the up and down arrow buttons to select the audio bit rate
you require, from 128 Kb/s to 512 kb/s.
4. Press OK to set your selection, or press the Configuration button to
cancel.
Assigning PIDs (Packet IDs)
PMT (Program Map Table) PID
Defines the set of PIDs that are
being used with a program
Video PID
Identifies the video stream
PCR (Program Clock Reference) PID
Keeps content synchronized
Audio PID
Identifies the audio stream
Default: 30
Min:
1
Max: 8000
1. While in the High Res Encoder or Low Res Encoder menu, as
applicable, press the down arrow button to highlight the PMT PID
submenu.
2. Press the right arrow button (or OK) to go to the PMT PID selection
menu.
3. Use the up and down arrow buttons to enter the PID number you
want to use.
4. Press OK to set your selection, or press the Configuration button to
cancel.
Continue in the same manner for the Video PID, PCR PID and Audio
PID settings.
The Low Resolution Encoder has the same set of controls, but will
generally be run at a much lower bit rate.
