Page 26

The boom consists of a telescopic cylinder system:

the SBL900 extends in two stages

the SBL1100 extends in three stages

The boom is provided with guiding pads at the inner side, which

centralise the stages of the boom

enable smooth moving of the stages into each other

The guiding pads are adjustable in order to centralise the stages precisely. Since the
guiding pads are made of plastic material, they are subject to wear.

In order to synchronise the lifting heights of all units, each unit is provided with a stroke

sensor. The sensor is provided with a wire which is attached to the top of the boom.

Each unit is provided with a control panel which is used for local control of the unit itself

(not of other units).
