Modes of operation
The AC6000 will be in one of several operating modes depending on power status and
user input.
5.4.1 Standby Mode
This mode is the “Power Off” mode. the unit will transition to this mode if there is a fault,
or if the user turns the unit OFF.
5.4.2 NormalUPS Mode
This is the normal operating mode for the UPS. Power will be supplied from the AC input line to
the output. Additionally, if the battery is not at full charge, it will charge from the AC input.(i.e. the
Static Bypass Switch (SBS) is closed and the unit will transition to UPS Mode if AC power is lost.)

5.4.3 UPS Mode
This mode is active if the unit has been running in normal mode and the input power transitions
outside of the expected operating range. Power will be supplied by the battery to the output.
5.4.4 Fault Mode
If there is an internal component failure, the AC6000 will enter Fault Mode, and an indication of
what the fault is and a fault code will be displayed on the front panel display. When in fault mode,
the battery and power from the input AC may be disconnected. Configuring the unit to have
“Enable Bypass On Fault” (Web interface only) will allow AC from the input to be provided to the
output if the fault will not result in a dangerous condition.
5.4.5 Bringing the AC6000 Online
If the unit is in a Low-level fault, or if a fault has self cleared, any button press will clear
the fault indication.
If the unit is in Standby mode (No output power). To put the system into Normal mode
and provide UPS functionality, use the following procedure:
