Battery Care and Disposal
The batteries are located in the waterproof hand part of the
device. The handpiece can be returned to the charging station
after use or, when fully charged, used for up to approximately
10 days without recharging. If the total cleaning time per day
is longer than 10 minutes, e.g. by several users, recharge the
batteries in a correspondingly shorter period. Make sure that the
batteries are never completely discharged. When the batteries
have reached a critical discharge level, the green LED indicator
does not light up when switched on. Instead, the LED lights
up red and starts flashing after 5 seconds. If this is the case,
the device must be recharged, otherwise the batteries will be
damaged. The device contains special, environmentally friendly
Ni-MH batteries, which must not be disposed of with household
waste. The collection containers of the GRS (Common Return
System) and other collection points (e.g. all sales points for
similar batteries) are available for disposal.
Danger Warnings
The emmi®-dent Metallic contains a battery with build-in safety
technology. Even then, the battery may not come to kids‘ hands
and the instructions for disposal must be followed. If in spite of
all safety measures batteries are leaking, avoid contact with your
skin and dispose the battery as described above. Safety mea-
sures are also required for the connection to the power supply
(socket). The charging dock has a fully insulated cast housing,
but never immerse the charging dock in water. The connecting
cable must be in flawless condition. In case of damage to the
housing, plug or connections, the whole charging dock must be
discarded and replaced. Only use the emmi®-dent Metallic for its
intended use as described. Children may only use the device ac-
cording to the instructions and with the supervision of an adult.
Warranty
The emmi®-dent Metallic has a warranty of 24 months from the
date of purchase, and a warranty of 6 months for the battery
from the date of purchase. Any defects in the material and/
or manufacturing errors that occur during this warranty term
will be resolved without any costs. Your unit will be repaired or
replaced. To the extent permitted by law, all other claims are
excluded. The warranty will not apply in case of interference
or dismounting by third parties without the prior approval
of Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH. The warranty will also be void for
products that have been damaged through improper hand-
ling or incorrect use. If under a warranty repair is granted, the
guarantee term will not be extended. For claims that are not
justified, for example, in case of installation or operating faults,
we reserve the right to claim the costs incurred for the same. For
claims under the warranty it is essential to provide the sales re-
ceipt stating the date of the purchase. For the fast processing of
your claim, please send the complete unit including brush head
and charging dock with sufficient shipping payment to Emmi
Ultrasonic GmbH. Unfortunately, unfree shipments cannot be
accepted. We thank you for your understanding.
