GIE 4820/3A/3.45KW Power Supply System User Manual
As shown in Fig.1-2, the power system is powered by one AC mains. AC power is
first input QF1 circuit breaker and then fed into the rectifier module after EMI
filtering. QF1 functions as over-current and short-circuit protection to AC power.
After the combination of distribution unit, the DC output of the rectifier module is
divided four branches to power to the loads. The four loads are separately
controlled by circuit breakers of QF2, QF3, QF4, and QF5, and provide users
ON/OFF control, over-current protection and short-circuit protection to every loads.
A load power-off contactor KM1 is connected in series with the LOAD2, LOAD3,
and LOAD4. The user’s battery is connected to the DC output terminal of power
supply system through QF6 circuit breaker and KM2 power-off contactor, and the
circuit breaker provides disconnection control, over-current and short-circuit
protection to the battery.
Under normal conditions, every parameter of rectifier modules and distribution unit
are all under control of the monitoring module, operating according to the pre-set
parameters of user’s commands. If AC mains faults, the battery will power to the
system. With the battery discharge, the terminal voltage of the battery starts
descent. When the battery voltage drops to 45V (1V higher than the default load
disconnection voltage), the monitoring module will report ‘DC under-voltage’ alarm
signal. When battery voltage drops to 44V (1V higher than the default battery
disconnection voltage), the control contactor KM1 of monitoring module acts to cut
off the connection between power supply and the Load 2, Load 3, and Load 4.
Then the power system just powers to the Load 1 (important load) to prolong the
powering time for the important load. When battery voltage drops to battery
protection voltage point (43V), the control contactor KM2 of monitoring module acts
to cut off the connection between power supply and the battery and protects the
battery for over-discharge. Then the power system will stop working. When the
external AC mains recovers and the rectifier modules resume normal outputs, the
system will recover to the normal work state. (All above monitoring data are system
default values, users can reset.)
Except for battery over-discharge protection, the system is designed with battery
and load over-temperature protection function: if the battery or load temperature
exceeds 53
℃
for continued 30 seconds, the monitoring module will control battery
or load power off unconditionally until the battery or load temperature drops down to
recovery point. Battery or load over-temperature function is prohibitive under
default condition, users can send command to active or inactive according to the
demanding. The range of load over-temperature protection point is 50~70
℃
(default is 65
℃
), and recovery point is fixed designed 5
℃
lower than the protection
point. The range of battery over-temperature protection point is 40~70
℃
(default is
50
℃
), and recovery point is fixed designed 5
℃
lower than the protection point.
The system can also collect and report all kinds of environmental parameters via
monitoring unit, such as: smoke, gate magnetic, waterlogging, temperature and
humidity, etc.
