SPECIFIED LIMITS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT
AND INJURIES TO PERSONS.
PRESSURES BELOW THE SPECIFIED LIMITS CAN
CAUSE UNSATISFACTORY OPERATION OF THE
REFUELING COMPONENTS.
(i) Pressurize the fuel system from 68.95 - 344.74 kPa (10 - 50 psig).
(j) Make sure that the LH TANK and RH TANK indicator lights are on and there
is no fuel flow.
(k) Make sure that the FAIL indicator light is off.
NOTE: If the FAIL indicator light is on, stop the refueling procedure
immediately.
(l) Set the REFUEL switch to the OPEN position and make sure that the LH
TANK and RH TANK indicator lights go off.
(m) Set and hold the SHUT-OFF TEST switch up and observe the LH TANK, RH
TANK, and the FAIL indicator lights.
NOTE: • The LH TANK and RH TANK indicator lights must come
on and the FAIL indicator light must be off.
• If the FAIL indicator light comes on during the pressure
refueling, stop the refueling procedure immediately.
(n) Release the SHUT-OFF TEST switch to continue the pressure refueling.
(o) For fuel-tank pressure refueling in the auto mode only, when the preselected
fuel quantity is reached, make sure that the LH TANK and RH TANK indicator
lights come on and the fuel flow stops. Then, set the REFUEL switch to the
CLOSED position.
NOTE: • Maximum refueling time from empty to full is less than
12 min, at 334.74 kPa (50 psig).
• If fuel overflow occurs, stop the refueling procedure
immediately.
(p) For fuel-tank pressure refueling in the manual mode only, when you have the
necessary fuel quantity, set the REFUEL switch to the CLOSED position and
make sure that the LH TANK and RH TANK indicator lights come on and the
fuel flow stops.
NOTE: • Maximum refueling time from empty to full is less than
12 min, at 334.74 kPa (50 psig).
• If fuel overflow occurs, stop the refueling procedure
immediately.
(q) Close the valve handle on the fuel nozzle.
(r) Disconnect the fuel nozzle from the pressure refueling adapter.
