(13)Do a check of the fuel quantity in the engine indication field of the MFD.
Replenish as necessary (GHSH TASK 12-11-00-650-801-A).
(14)Make sure that all switches/controls of the systems not used for the
engine start are OFF/CLOSED.
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE FUEL PUMP WITHOUT FUEL (DRY
OPERATION). DRY OPERATION WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO
THE SYSTEM.
(15) Set/keep these switches and controls as follows:
(16)If it is necessary to keep data in the CVDR, open this circuit breaker and
put a circuit breaker ring and tag, as applicable:
• VOICE/DATA RECORDER-RHCBP (EMERGENCY BUS)
(17)Close the windows and doors.
(18)Open these circuit breakers and put a circuit breaker ring and tag on each
one of them:
• E1 FIREX-LHCBP (HOT BATT BUS 1)
• E2 FIREX-RHCBP (HOT BATT BUS 2)
(19)On the FIRE/ENG/TRIM control panel, lift the guard and push the SHUT-
OFF 1 and SHUTOFF 2 push buttons to close the fuel shutoff valves.
NOTE: If you need to discharge the engine fire extinguishing bottle
during the dry motoring procedure, remove the circuit
breaker ring and tag and close the circuit breakers E1
FIREX-LHCBP (HOT BATT BUS 1) and E2 FIREX-RHCBP
(HOT BATT BUS 2).
C. Engine Dry Motoring
(1) Make sure that the indication "IGN OFF" shows on the EICAS. If this indi-
cation does not show, do not do the dry motoring before you make sure
that the ignition system is not on.
