(1) Do the procedure to make the aircraft safe for maintenance.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE LANDING GEAR SAFETY PINS
ARE INSTALLED. THIS IS TO PREVENT INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO MATERIAL.
(2) Make sure that the landing gear safety pins are installed.
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is parked correctly.
(4) Seal the inlets and outlets of the refrigeration pack compartments with
polyethylene film or equivalent water and detergent-resistant film, and
adhesive tape or equivalent.
(5) Seal the AOA vanes and their attachment bases on the fuselage with
polyethylene film or equivalent water and detergent-resistant film, and
adhesive tape or equivalent.
(6) Close the forward baggage-compartment door and seal it with adhesive
tape or equivalent.
(7) Close the aft baggage-compartment door and seal it with adhesive tape or
equivalent.
(8) Close the main door and seal it with adhesive tape or equivalent.
(9) Install these items of GSE: GSE 003, GSE 009 and GSE 030.
(10) Make sure that the water used for cleaning is free from sand residues and
other contaminants.
C. Aircraft Cleaning - Removal of Light Dirt from the Fuselage
CAUTION : DO NOT APPLY CLEANING SOLUTION TO LARGE AREAS
THAT YOU CANNOT FULLY CLEAN BEFORE THE SOLU-
TION DRIES ON THE SURFACE AND THE SURFACE
BECOMES GLOSSY.
(1) Prepare a cleaning solution in a dilution ratio of 10% by volume of deter-
gent SUPERSOL-10 for 1 liter of distilled water.
(2) Apply the cleaning solution of distilled water and detergent SUPERSOL-
10 to the aircraft fuselage with a spray gun or a cleaning brush or equiva-
lent equipment.
(3) Let the cleaning solution of distilled water and detergent SUPERSOL-10 soak
into the surface for sufficient time for the dirt to become soft (approximately 5
minutes).
CAUTION : DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE (MAXIMUM 70 PSI) AND
DO NOT POINT THE FLOW OF WATER DIRECTLY TO THE
ANGLE-OF-ATTACK SENSORS OR OTHER MECHANICAL,
ELECTRICAL, OR HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS. LIQUIDS
THAT GET INTO THESE AREAS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS
DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(4) Use a wiper cloth soaked in the solution to clean the fuselage.
