(6) Remove the pressure-refueling adapter cap:
(a) Push the lever of the pressure-refueling adapter cap to unlock it and
turn it counterclockwise.
(b) Remove the pressure-refueling adapter cap from the pressure refueling
adapter.
C. Fuel Tank - Pressure Refueling
WARNING: DO NOT LET JET FUEL AND LUBRICATING OILS TOUCH
YOU. THESE FLUIDS CAUSE INJURY TO THE SKIN.
(1) Do the fuel-tank pressure refueling in the auto or manual mode as follows:
(a) Make sure that the REFUEL switch is in the CLOSED position.
(b) Make sure that the LH TANK and RH TANK indicator lights come on.
(c) Move up and hold the LAMP TEST switch to do the lamp test. After the test,
release the LAMP TEST switch.
NOTE: The LAMP TEST switch starts the operational test of the
lamps and displays. The LH TANK and RH TANK indicator
lights keep lighted on, the FAIL indicator light lights on, and
the display shows all the segments that form the charac-
ters lighted on.
(d) On the repeater indicator display, select the fuel tank through the TANK
SELECTION switch.
NOTE: The TANK SELECTION switch selects the total and the
individual tank quantity displays.
(e) For fuel-tank pressure refueling in the auto mode only, on the repeater indica-
tor display, use the INC/DEC switch to set the necessary fuel quantity.
NOTE: The INC/DEC switch increases or decreases the prese-
lected fuel quantity on the display.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE REFUELING ADAPTER IS IN
GOOD CONDITION. A BAD CONNECTION OF THE
FUEL NOZZLE CAN CAUSE FUEL SPILLAGE, FIRE,
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE
EQUIPMENT.
(f) Do a visual check of the pressure refueling adapter to make sure there are no
damages, cracks and/or contamination.
(g) Connect the fuel nozzle to the pressure refueling adapter.
(h) Open the valve handle on the fuel nozzle.
WARNING: DURING THE PRESSURE REFUELING PROCEDURE,
MAKE SURE THAT THE REFUELING PRESSURE IS
BETWEEN 10 AND 50 PSI. PRESSURES ABOVE THE
