Test set-up
When setting up the test national and international regulations regarding
human safety have to be guaranteed.
It is recommended to connect the simulator to the ground reference plane
of the test set-up.
The generators of the series 200, UCS, LD, PFS and VDS can be linked
together to a fully automotive test set-up.
The set-up communicates via the IEEE/GPIB bus and is controlled by ISM
ISO software.
For setting up the system see the following figures:
Each generator can be operated individual as a single equipment.

Test setup with software iso.control software
Attention
Operating with iso.control connect the VDS 200N to the PF1 input of PFS 200N
Within a software controlled test setup the system must be
wired as shown in the above figure.
-
The VDS 200N must be connected to input PF1. This
unit works as the central battery supply unit and is also
used for battery supply simulation.
-
The external DC source, EM TEST recommends the
RDS 200 dc source, is controlled by the analog output
voltage which is available at the rear panel of the PFS
200N. The output of the voltage source must be
connected to PF2 input of the PFS 200N.
Within this set-up all settings for dips and dropouts tests are performed automatically.
