Calibration and Safety Checks

, Annex F, em-tec GmbH recommends that devices are sent in
every two years in order to be checked in regard to their technical safety requirements as well
as their measurement accuracy. Valid international and national standards and regulations
must be taken into account. The test protocol listed on the next page can be used for the
check. If errors or limit excesses are determined during the tests, do not continue to use the
device and please contact our service department (see chapter “Error Correction, Support and
Service”).
em-tec’s service department provides a calibration service which ensures and improves
measurement accuracies.
This calibration service also includes the supply of an exchange device, if necessary. Please
contact our service department in advance for more information.

Environmental Protection and Disposal
Packaging
Packaging materials are made from environmentally friendly materials. The packaging materials will be
disposed of by em-tec GmbH upon request.
Disposal
The SonoTT
TM
Ultrasonic FlowComputer and its accessories must be disposed of in accordance with the
applicable national provisions for electronic components. In accordance with the requirements of EU Directive
2012/65/EC
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), our customers in the EU are entitled to return
all waste deriving from the products to us – in clean and disinfected condition. The em-tec GmbH WEEE
registration number is:

Upon receipt, we repair or dispose of these components properly. For our address please see the very beginning
of this manual. For the best utilization of raw materials, the product and its components and accessories should
not be disposed of together with household waste. All parts must be collected separately from household
waste and disposed of in an environmentally responsible way in accordance to local regulations.

Before disposal, decontaminate all parts according to the procedure applicable in the clinic.

If you have questions about disposal, please contact em-tec GmbH’s service department.

Waste may only be brought to the appropriate recycling facility if there is no risk of potential infection
from electrical and electronic waste.
