DEVICE CONFIGURATION 

The  device  provides  4 connection  options:  web  interface,  the  Telnet  protocol,  SSH,  or  RS-232  cable 

connection (for access via RS-232, SSH, or Telnet, use CLI). 

 

 

All settings will take effect without gateway restart. To save configuration changes into the non-
volatile memory, use the 

Service/Save Configuration into Flash

 menu in the web configurator or 

the COPY RUNNING_TO_STARTUP command in CLI. 

 

4.1

 

SMG Configuration via web Interface 

To  configure  the  device,  establish  a  connection  to  the  device  in  a

  web  browser

  (hypertext  document 

viewer), e. g. Firefox, Google Chrome. Enter the device IP address in the address bar of the web browser. 

 

SMG factory default IP address: 192.168.1.2, network mask: 255.255.255.0. 

 
As soon as the IP address is entered, the device will request username and password. 

 

 

 

Initial startup username:

Upon access to the web configurator, the
