Step 4:
Press the Test button once to enter Test mode. Walk inside the protected area to make sure that the
detection coverage is suitable. The LED will light up for two seconds to confirm whenever a movement is
detected.
Step 5:
Installation is complete when the detection coverage is appropriate.
<NOTE>
The detector has an external rotating housing which may be adjusted horizontally and consequently its 110° coverage
can vary from 0° to 180°.

Installation advice
It is advised to install the detector in the following
positions:
⚫
2.3 m (measured from the bottom of the device)
from the ground to optimise performance.
⚫
In a corner to have the widest view possible.
⚫
In a position in which an intruder would normally
cross the field of vision of the detector.
⚫
On a surface or in a corner which cannot be
accessed by pets.
⚫
The detector has a detection range of 12 metres
when it is mounted at 2.3 metres from the ground.
Restrictions:
⚫
Do not install the detector fully exposed to direct sunlight.
⚫
Do not install in areas subject to sudden changes of temperature, i.e. near air conditioning units or radiators.
⚫
Avoid large size obstacles in the detection area.
⚫
Do not point directly towards source of heat, such as fires or boilers, and do not install over radiators.
⚫
Remove all light-reflecting surfaces from the detection area, as well as water bodies.
⚫
Never attempt to dismantle or modify the unit.
<IMPORTANT NOTE>
Adjust the Dip Switch according to the installation position of the detector to optimise performance. If the Dip Switch
settings do not corresponds to the installation environment, the performance of the detector will be compromised,
false alarms may be detected or motion may not be detected.
The detector has a directional feature and is particularly effective in detecting instructions which cross the detection
field. It is less sensitive in detecting movement directed towards the detector.
In order to optimise performance, remember to adjust the mounting height of the detector according to the height of
the tallest pet. The detector must be mounted much higher in case of large dogs.
The detector has approximately 1 m of blind spot under the device it is mounted at a height of 2.3 m; the blind spot
area increases if the detector is mounted higher than 2.3 m, while it decreases if it is mounted lower than 2.3 m.
Unless it is necessary, it is advisable to keep the mounting position of the detector at the recommended height of 2.3
m to optimise performance. If the mounting height is changed, run a detection test to make sure that the detector can
normally detect intruders at the required height.
