3.6.4 Changing the password
You must have the right access privileges to be able to change passwords, i.e. you must start
a session by entering your password (or the default password abcde, if it is the first time).
1. First log on with your password as described in section 3.6.1.
2. Type
setpw
<old password new password> and press <Enter>. This command can
only be used on COM 3. The new password must have no more than 15 characters
without spaces. The password is the same on all three ports.
A message confirming that the password was changed appears:
CU4>setpw abcde electr

3.6.5 Accessing the setup screen
To access the setup screen:
1. At the CU4> prompt, type
setup
and press <Enter>. This command can only be used
on COM 3 once you have entered your password. The Control Unit IV setup screen
appears.

Please note that:
•
Options 3 (Number of customers), 4 (Toggle OBP/Multi-tier), and f (Restore factory
default values and quit) are for factory use only and are not available. Therefore, there
are no instructions for these options in this manual.
•
Communication ports COM 1 and COM 2 will be disconnected so they do not receive
any requests during the setup process. During the setup session, the Control Unit does,
however, continue to broadcast the subscriber status stored in its memory. The COM 1
and COM 2 ports will be reactivated only after exiting the setup session.
