Introduction, basic characteristics

Euro-2000M Alpha

Insert both ribbons into the entry hole of the printer and push the paper smoothly inside. Holding the paper
in the hole, press the 

E

 button (PAPER FEED). The printer feeds the ribbon by itself into the mechanism.

The ribbons come out through the upper printer slit. By means of the 

E

 button about 30 cm of the ribbon

should be released.
Set the bottom ribbon according to the picture into the slit of the take-up spool. The journal ribbon edge

should touch the take-up spool shield (on its right-hand side). Wind the take-up spool several turns in the

direction of the rotation and make sure the ribbon holds tightly. Set the take-up spool into the holders and

turn it finely so that the paper ribbon of the journal is stretched firmly. Insert the upper ribbon into the receipt

slit in the printer cover (see the picture). Close the printer cover. Tear off the free ribbon and you can start

registration.

For the Euro-2000M ALPHA cash register opera-

tion a self-copying paper ribbon of 57mm width is

used. The paper roll contains two ribbons wound

one above the other. The upper one is designed for

customer receipt printing and the bottom one for

the journal print. Use only rolls of good quality with

a maximum diameter of 60mm.
To ensure proper cash register operation, make

sure the self-copying ribbon copies properly. If

any problems occur consult your local authorized

dealer. By carefully pressing the left-hand index

finger against the printer cover in the rastered area

(the arrow) the printer cover can be removed from

the upper register cover.

Place the paper roll into the paper roll bed so that it can wind off forward from the bottom side (see the

second picture). Cut the ribbon end straight. The ribbon end must not contain any dirt or glue residue.
